What we do
It’s very simple, really.
- We source used bikes from donors
- We recondition them
- We make them available to those that are in need of them
We also throw in some accessories with the bikes
- high viz jacket
- lock
- helmet
- pump
- lights
Re-cycle.ie was set up by a few friends that just thought it was a good idea.
We are not a company or charity (as yet), though we will probably formalise this pretty soon.
We don’t really want to publicise our names, as we are not in this to be thought of as great fellas.
Costs are funded by ourselves personally.
We are greatly indebted to Cycle Safari for the brilliant work they do in reconditioning the bikes we send their way.

How we ensure the
bikes get a good home
We work with bona fide charities such as Vincent de Paul and others. These guys know who is genuine need and they ensure that the bikes go to worthy people.
The whole process is confidential insofar as we do not identify the recipients ourselves.
If you are looking to receive a bicycle through us, we suggest you get in touch with a charity and let them know what you are looking to do.
